Just finished another stint on a Scania R500 and it's honestly a pretty solid machine. Mine's got the high-roof, which really helps on long hauls, you get that bit of extra head space and just feels less cramped. Looks kind of plain, not a lot of flashing lights or fancy stuff, but I actually prefer it that way. Keeps you focused. The red paint job stands out, easy to spot in the yard. No big issues with reliability so far, starts up in the cold and chugs along with timber all day. Can get a bit bouncy on rougher forest tracks, though, wish the seat was a bit softer. Maintenance isn't the cheapest but nothing unusual for this kind of truck. Controls are straightforward (not overloaded with buttons, which is good). Not much else to pick at, doing its job alright.
