I've done a lot of long hauls in the DAF XF105 over the years. The biggest thing for me is that cab space. They really put some thought into the storage, which I appreciate when I've got to be out for a week or more. The fridge is decent and that little folding ladder for the top bunk is a nice touch. Headroom's alright, even for taller folks. The ride's comfy enough, probably thanks to that all-air suspension. Not much road noise in the cab either, the motor's quiet unless you're really working it. Only real gripe I have is price, even used it's not cheap, but you kinda get what you pay for in terms of comfort. Maintenance hasn't been a hassle for me, just keep up with the usual and it's reliable. Gearbox is mostly smooth, though sometimes the auto waits a bit long to upshift for my taste.

I'm currently driving the DAF XF 480 FT 2019. The impressions are good. In practice, I have confirmed that the manufacturer is not lying. It consumes less fuel than previous generations. You can save about 10 percent on fuel compared to the DAF FT XF 105.460.

There are many pluses, it's hard to name them all. Comfortable. Quite economical. Large cabin. Among the disadvantages - when carrying 15 tons, you won't get more than 40 on the ascent.

I drive a DAF XF 480 EURO 6 2019. A driver with a lot of experience, I have something to compare it to - I prefer DAF over MAN - it smoothly overcomes road bumps. The machine is very comfortable for the driver - it has a refrigerator, satellite navigation, plenty of space for things. Not very convenient that there is no armrest on the left - it is uncomfortable to rest my hand on the door.

The DAF XF 105 certainly has its merits. I’ve noticed its comfort level stands out, with seating and space designed to cater to long hours on the road. Been running the new DAF XF for a bit now in Ukraine (hauling grain and containers mostly). First thing, fuel econ is better than my old XF, I’m seeing a real cut in diesel spend. I guess the aerodynamics works, you can hear a bit less noise in the cab too. Cab view is way better, bigger windows really come in handy when squeezing into tight spots or driving in bad weather. All the LED lights are good at night but honestly, the digital dashboard is a bit too much sometimes. Takes time to figure out. Ride comfort is solid. Can't complain. Haven’t had to do any serious repairs yet, but basic maintenance looks pretty normal so far. Only thing, parts are not always in stock, need to wait sometimes. Not a huge deal but something to think about.
